It was a full house crowd for the 30th annual Byemoor Bull-a-rama, the longest-running Bull-a-rama in Canada on April 19 at the Endmoor Arena in Byemoor.
The bull riding action of the 20 bull riders from Mexico, Paraguay, Australia, the United States and three Canadian provinces kept the crowd well entertained.
In the Championship round, the Valier, Montana cowboy Cole Wagner aboard Classy Nasty scored the title of the 2024 Byemoor Bull-a-rama champion bull rider.
The announcer was Dustin Edwards, O Canada was led by Heidi Hebert, the Flag Bearer was Riggin Buchwitz, the Bullfighters were Austen Meston and Nick Brigley, Chute Boss – Darin Eno, Safety Man – Lee Trach and Stock Contractors were Big Stone Rodeo, Eno Bucking Bulls, Foley Bucking Bulls, Meston Rodeo Co. and Pengally Rodeo.
The winner of the 50/50 draw was Palmer Altin, Denver Sibernagel won the choice of furniture donated by Tanis Longshore, Les Walker won the Calgary Flames hockey gear and Felix Johnson won the Calgary Roughnecks lacrosse gear, all donated by Dustin Edwards and Maryn James won the ATCO gift basket.
The Bull-a-rama wrapped up with a family dance as folks kicked their heels to the music of Dally Up and Dance from Hanna.
Congratulations to Logan and Claire Gutsche on the birth of their second son Lincoln Ossie Gutsche on April 3 in Stettler. Lincoln weighed seven pounds five ounces and was also welcomed by big brother Liam. Also, congratulations are sent to the local grandparents Wes and Karen Gutsche and great-grandparents Art and Lucy Gutsche.
Sympathy is extended to the family of Mac Sinclair who passed away on April 10 in Stettler. He was two days short of reaching his 98th birthday. Mac and his wife Jeanne (nee Walker) were married for 75 years and had two children, Doug and Bonnie.
Our thoughts are with the Sinclair and Walker families in the loss of this fine gentleman.

Congratulations to Doug Harrold on his Gold Medal win at the Alberta 55 Plus Games held in Camrose. Doug and his team captured the top spot in the floor curling competition. Way to go, Doug.
